Summer is here!    June 12 2003
It's June and it is time to take a little break...the kids are home from college and my studio has now been transformed into a music/computer room with a set of drums right dab in the center. We're going to spend some time in Mexico this summer! Yipee! I will return greatly inspired and energized....have a great summer!

A Big Thank-You!    May 20 2003
Many thanks to all of you who came and supported the arts at Carmel Valley Artists last week...(including me!) It was one of the most successful shows ever! I'm currently working on a large fabric piece and have a few new projects underway...the summer hiatus is rapidly approaching!

May Is Here!    May 05 2003
Carmel Valley Artists is quickly approaching. This is the only show that I have chosen to do this spring. I have been looking forward to working on a few new ideas and finishing up a few old ones. Again, Carmel Valley Artists is Saturday, May 10 from 9:30-3:30 at the Karl Strauss Brewery in Sorrento Valley. Hope to see you there!

April News    April 17 2003
I have just returned from the most wonderful trip to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico...the colors, sights and sounds of San Miguel were very inspiring...and I'm hoping to return in the summer!! After spring break I will be back to work in my studio...with many new ideas to get started on. The Carmel Valley Artists show will be held on Saturday, May 10, at the same location in the Karl Strauss Brewery in Sorrento Valley. If you're not sure how to get there please email me and I will be happy to send instructions. See you there!!

Upcoming Journey    March 27 2003
As March comes to a close we are all saddened by world events...and looking forward to the day when conflicts are solved peacefully. On a happier note, I will be going on a wonderful artistic journey in April. I am off to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. San Miguel is an artist's colony and this trip is geared towards looking at art and creating it as well! I know I will come back with atleast a hundred new ideas for future artistic endeavors! Hasta Luego!!

Ides of March    March 03 2003
Well March is upon us...how quickly we have entered 2003 and what an ominous time it seems.... I have many new pieces in the works...and have really been pushing my work with polymer clay and stamps. This week I am taking a class in Precious Metal Clay (art clay silver), clay that becomes 99% pure silver when fired in a kiln. Should be a great class and I am looking forward to embellishing some of my Icons with handmade silver tiles! I won a gift certificate at the SAMA conference to an online store...so thought I could afford to mess around a bit with a new medium! We'll see!

My recently remodeled site!    February 06 2003
Wow! It has been awhile since I have posted and now it is a new year...and I have a newly remodeled site. My son redesigned my site so that I can now update it myself. This will certainly mean that my site will keep current (hence this post!) I just returned from the SAMA show in Miami. What an incredible conference it was. It was great to meet so many talented artists and to have made so many new friends. The vendor show was terrific and it was nice to finally meet many of the wonderful people that I do business with online. I think we all left Miami greatly inspired and ready to create. After a two month absence from my work, I know I am ready to get going!!

December News!    December 1 2002
The holidays are rapidly approaching! One more show to go...the other two were great successes. Many thanks to those of you who came and supported the arts!
I have a few pieces I need to finish up before the holidays...and then it is a break until 2003! I will be attending the SAMA (Society of American Mosaic Artists) show in Miami at the end of January. I have an Icon that was juried in and that will be on display there, so that is exciting! It will be a great experience with some of the finest mosaic artists offering lectures and workshops. I am sure I will return with renewed inspiration to carry me into the spring!

Summer's almost over!    August 21 2002
It is nearly the end of a great summer...with many weeks spent in France. As soon as the kids are back to school, I am back to work! Fall is around the corner and with it the beginning of the holiday show schedule. I will post those dates when available. I am newly inspired after traveling throughout France and visiting a few flea markets where I found lots of great "junque" with which to embellish my icons. I also have a large fabric piece I started working on...similar to the ones shown in the Archives section of the Gallery. That's it for now. Hope everyone had a terrific summer!!
